ish-- truckers neve gave them up. Since I avg over 50,000 miles per year I did not either. They are better now than ever and the prices are not bad either. Some controls are often on the mic- so I remove the radio in every new vehicle I buy and wire a cb behind there - easy wire accessability. The cb goes under a seat or in a console-- on/off and channel change (rare) from the mic.Returning from SC yesterday there was an accident that closed down the highway. I jumped off 1 exit early and took a few side roads. Lost about 10 min but saw the parking lot the highway had turned into. They were going to be there a very long time since there was a fatality. If not for a trucker parked there I would have lost a lot of time and patience.
