One reason why rates will hold steady - may even fall further...

The US credit worthiness is strengthening. You will see this by the dollar strengthing. this will be the new trend for the next 18 months.

I'M SURPRISE HOW FEW PEOPLE FOLLOW THIS BOARD. I THINK THE COLLASP OF THE US DOLLAR WILL BE THE NEXT GREAT WORLD EVENT.

IT MAKES NO SENSE FOR THE FOREINGE COUNTRIES TO HOLD OUR T-BILLS. WHEN THESE BILLS ARE NOT BOUGHT BACK AFTER MATURING ONE OF TWO THINGS HAS TO HAPPEN. WE EITHER PRINT MORE MONEY TO PAY THEM, RAISE TAXES THROUGH THE ROOF, OR A COMBINATION OF THE TWO.

I've also came back after 18 months to call the strengthening of the dollar. Principle reason is our growing economy is greatly improving the tax base. We will see this trend continue.
