Here are some more numbers (as of end 1995; I am pretty sure the streak extended into 1996 too) about this amazing company :

Number of years of consecutive earnings increases : 46
Number of years of consecutive dividend increases : 21

Number of QUARTERS with consecutive DOUBLE-DIGIT earnings increases : 144.

Probably a world record. I am told that it is definitely a record among American companies.
