I hope you are right. Cisco is the best and brightest that the U.S. has to offer. So if they manage to beat Huawei in China and globally, then we can all let out a collective sigh of relief. However, if they lose market share steadily over the next 5 years to Huawei, then we all need to be very worried.

Of course, the next layer of worry is even if Cisco wins, how have they won it? Have they won it by exporting U.S. workers, both citizens and immigrants, back to China to work there? Or have they managed to do it without losing alot of U.S. brainpower and capital to China? And then, what about R&D? Will they have to export that to China as well in order to compete?

Let's see what happens. The next 5 years will give us all a pretty good glimpse into things to come.
