I would take your remarks more seriously if the invasion of Iraq served the interests of the United States of America -- at least then you could say we were acting in our own self-interest. Bush is elected. Bush invades Iraq on a pretext about WMD. But there are no WMD. Bush is re-elected. Nothing in that cycle of election and re-election justifies making war on another nation. An election in the US does not justify a war in Iraq.
