I don't know if you saw Bernie Shafer's piece -- he made the argument that p/c was reasonably high in energy and utils, so he expected this was just a pause -- of course, negative on the energy sector would be bullish for stocks in general and vice versa --

I hate to lean with consensus -- but I still wonder if energy shares aren't due for an accident -- I've lost money wondering about this.

so Bernie is probably right and energy has nowhere to go but up <g> but with energy companies having posted such spectacular gains, maybe the better way to play higher energy prices is short the DOW??
