Two miles from my home is a low income apartment complex built and run by a Christian charitable organization. I believe virtually all non-governmental efforts to aid the poor are run by religious organizations.

I don't know of any such charitable efforts run by atheists or agnostics, who are more given to mocking the religious fools.
