Supposedly if you use the five letter symbol of Canadian stocks Ameritrade routes the order direct to Canada via Canacord. If you have Stockwatch you can actually see your order on the bid or ask - depending on what you are doing. If you do not see it - call and grind through the menu.

In my experience Ameritrade has been my best experience with Canada. I know have all of my accounts with Ameritrade and am sufficiently satisfied to not want to move. The Streamer is really nice for US listed shares.

Any thoughts on Geologics?
