Hi Reid,

Congratulations on actually finding an iPod!

Here's the part I like:

<<4) Buy ITUNEs songs (download) onto your local PC into a playlist on Itune player.>> <ggg>

Fittingly, I am listening now to U2's "Where the Streets Have No Name" as I write this.

But seriously, now you have some insight into the tremendous things going on at AAPL. I don't use a Mac personally, but I am convinced they are unquestionably superior technologically. Advances in technology are not like M$FT, which has to write literally millions of lines of code that they charge hundreds of dollars per user just to create a whole new set of problems for users of their operating system. It's like the difference between a SkiDoo and the battleship U.S.S. New Jersey. Which would you rather scoot around on when you go on vacation?

But there are other fundamentals. Not the least of which is the fact that AAPL's UNIX-based operating system is not very vulnerable at all to the never-ending onslaught from viruses and trojans that itself requires significant time, energy, and expense to protect Windows-based systems.

But it is one thing for me to say such things, quite another for AAPL to convince the world and consume market share. THIS is the event that will really transform AAPL, if they can pull it off.

I guess you can begin to understand the almost religious devotion of Mac users now, huh? It's not just a fad or a cult, there is a solid technological foundation for it.
