Without knowing who provided the information, you seem to know that the provider knew that she was an undercover operative. Without that knowledge, there was no crime. Since you know that they knew, please tell us how you know they knew.

It appears that she was not a spy, but an analyst. The CIA also confirmed her identity as an employee, which they would never do if she was a covert operative.

Did she act like a covert operative? If she did not, then any protection she may have benefitted from was eliminated by herself. She recommended her partisan husband as a candidate for an investigative position. That is a political function which put her name on record. Spies don't do that. Either she was not a covert operative, or she lacked the necessary skill to be a covert operative.

Her husband's biographies list her. As a public political appointee, that would certainly seem contrary to the tenet of keeping her covert. Come on Ted, she was a public figure. If she had been covert, the CIA would have suspended or removed her covert status as a response to the public partisan politics the family engaged in.

IMO, having a traitor in the Senate is a much bigger deal than the possibility that a covert agent (and her partisan but not to bright husband) exposed herself to public scrutiny. Lets join our voices together to have John Kerry removed from the Senate.
