Never used Monster for any reason before. I didn’t realize I wasn’t using the same service as before. My previous board had careerbuilder.com. Worked out all right. They team with newspapers so it is the actual ad from the papers. Wish I used that one again. My main concern with Monster is that a trend of increasing ads, might be more of a reflection of internet employment ads gaining in popularity. I've also noticed no ads for the working stiff in Monster. If I want to detect growth in an industry, I believe the actual construction worker, loan processor, assembly line worker and other low educated people are the way to go. If Monster were to add the uneducated to their recruitment goals that would further the problem of the false perception of growth in employment by ad counts with them. With Careerbuilder I was shorting and buying varies industries base on likely future growth as determined by the want ads. I also made a few good calls on the Fed’s economic reports.

I’d hate to keep changing it. My goal is to be set in my ways the week following the holidays. I guess I have some more work to do.
