The press runs away with the story and makes it look like half of this nation is for violating people's civil rights based on their religion or ethnicity.

So you would have what? don't do the study and don't report it?

I don't like being accused of supporting restricted civil liberties based on Muslim heritage alone.

Have you read mindmeld's posts on the topic. There is a bias and awareness can be positive. The very words "probable cause" are inappropriate. I think you are taking this too personal.
