Abbott had been paying Cambridge Antibody 2% royalties since 2003. It now will have to pay 6% royalties on the first £100 million ($193.9 million) of Humira sales, 5.5% on £100 million to £150 million of sales, and 5% on everything above that. Abbott said an undisclosed third party would pay half of the difference that it owed to Cambridge Antibody, but didn't provide further details, citing contract confidentiality.
