Need a source for the Supreme Court case law, that's what ultimately counts. If I remember correctly they have held that gays are not a suspect class.

I don't think the Supremes are going to rule that gays have the right to marry anytime soon, for fear of opening the barn doors to everything. There are a lot of things a man and a woman can do that may be considered merely tacky that society tends to find very disturbing if done between two men.
