"My youngest daughter has managed to outgrow most of her clothes. And some how the phase difference between the youngest and oldest daughter was just enough to ensure that the youngest would not be able to wear ANY of those adorable seasonal clothes the oldest only wore once :-( I just helped her clean out her closet, and we bundled them all in to a big black bag.

My mother used to send the girls the cutest clothes at this time of year. I hope someone at the Salvation Army will enjoy them.

It's sad when the little birds start to grow so very big. Mr. Ionesco and I were walking in Coscto, and we saw this amazingly cute Incredibles doll- and we realized all our kids are too old for such things."

Isn't it sad to watch children grow up? I know it's great--of course it means you're getting as old as the hills but we won't think about that--but so poignant at the same time. I remember when Grainnette was four and I had bought her a hand knit European sweater with lambs that stood out with authentic looking fleece, in a little field with flowers. I thought it was so adorable, and one day she refused to wear it, telling me that it was too baby!

When was the last time I read to her? When was the last time she touched one of her baby dolls and held it? I didn't notice at the time, and that is probably for the best, because I would have cried and cried.
