The solution to this is to read to your children until they leave the house, and to insist they continue to play with their toys for as long as they live with you :-) Not really. I'm having this very funny image of a sulky 14 year old being forced to play with a doll. The Mr. and I were scanning the family pictures recently- so many just ROFL pictures. We have one of the youngest totally mugging for the camera- she was 4- and she has on these huge vintage sunglasses from the 60's (purple- Elton John type), a ski hat, alladin slippers, and a very colorful gymboree outfit, and she is grinning up at the camera with an evil grin.
