Mindmeld, you are continuing to post cheerleading commentary with very little meat! The only significant comment in that post was

"young firms in those countries are competing and winning on a level playing field."

And that statement is simply incorrect! Show me the young Indian and Chinese firms that are competing with and beating the well know multinationals in any territory outside of China, and I'll eat my words. But it just aint happening (other than perhaps the Indian IT services companies).

There is no Chinese x86 processor beating Intel, no Chinese mp3 player beating iPod, no Chinese mobile communicator beating Blackberry, etc., etc. Perhaps there will be one day.....but I doubt it!

There is no Chinese UNIX server company beating Sun, no Chinese anti-virus software company beating Symantec, how long do I have to go on like this???
