I still take anything analysts say with a grain of salt.

I take any investment opinion with more than a grain of salt, including those I read on this board. We all have our biases and conflicts. The ML analyst may be a genius or he may be a fool, I can't tell but IMO, he looked at the right things in his 11 page report. He attempted a supply/demand analysis and gave this conclusion:

"Our positive stance is based on our belief that newcomers are achieving little success in ramping production, and that the majority of the new capacity from incumbents won't be up and running until late 2005 at the earliest. As such, we expect pricing to return to normal trend in 2005, declining approximately 40% year-over-year. We further believe that new demand from cellular handsets could create a shortage in 2006."

I appreciate this type of analysis, it adds to the discussion. Opinions on stock price mean nothing to me because I make my own.
