Hello, I had an idea recently about our political future while pondering any possible positive scenarios. I sent the following this morning to Senators McCain and Kerry. What do you think? ken Senator McCain, As the single most respected member of the Senate and a possible candidate for President in 2008 you have a unique opportunity to dramatically change the political and governmental landscape. As an independent voter, a social progressive and fiscal conservative I am appalled at the state of the nation and the egregious behavior of the present administration. If we are to return to sanity bold and original leadership must rise and be heard. I propose to you, as a patriot and as a leader of courage to do what is perhaps the most dramatic act in the history of American politics-reach out to Senator John Kerry and convince him to be your Vice-Presidential running mate in 2008. You and Senator Kerry, together can unite the middle across the parties and include millions like me in the just cause of returning us to the great ideals of the past and insuring our future as the exemplary leader of real freedom and democracy among the nations of the world.
