<<Elementary Watson:the growth/price ratio for AMD and cyrix was not statistically significant>> are you sure that is the reason that intel was chosen over amd and cyrix? i assumed that the LONG TERM growth realtive to the p/e was too low. look at a LONG TERM chart of amd vs intel and i think you will see the real reason. chart of amd looks pathetic relative to intel, specially over the last few years. i think that intc is actually leaving amd in the dust. just my uneducated opinion from looking at charts.
