48 big state companies recruit overseas talents

BEIJING, Dec. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- A total of 48 large-sized state companies, including four among the world's top 500, are recruiting talents from overseas in China's capital of Beijing.

More than 500 people who studied abroad were attending the joint recruitment meeting Tuesday in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.

Li Yizhong, who heads the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) which organizes the recruitment,said the big state companies are vitally important to China's national economy and security.

The state-owned enterprises need to recruit excellent professionals from both domestic and overseas in order to improve their own competitiveness, Li said.

Hu Wei, a leading official with the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) Central Committee which co-sponsors the recruitment, said those big state companies will provide overseas professionalswith more chance.

The enterprises are scheduled to employ 228 professionals on 146 posts.

The CYLC Central Committee has organized, together with governmental departments, such recruitment thrice. More than 1,700people from overseas were employed. Enditem news.xinhuanet.com
