How many alcoholics wake up one morning, resolve not to drink again, then don't? George W. Bush is an untreated alcoholic. That comment is simply mean spirited and ignorant. George W. Bush has described himself as an ex alcoholic. That is not anything to be ashamed of. He does not drink anymore. That is very good. I could be wrong, but I don't recall anywhere that he has attended AA meetings or had any kind of treatment. Nevertheless, that does not matter. As long as you can open up to it and overcome it, that is all that counts. That comment had some mean spirit in it and I apologise for that.
