I think there is a 99% or better chance the Court will rule that:

(1) any particular state is not required to allow gays to marry (i.e., may prohibit gay marriage); and

(2) if a state does allow gay marriage, the other states need not recognize such marriages.

I really can't see them ruling otherwise. If the country wishes to allow protections and priviliges to gays as enjoyed by blacks, asians etc., the way to do it is by amending the Civil Rights Act of 1964 ... I don't see it as a Constitutional issue except with respect to due process issues.
