Obviously that voter was being sarcastic and witty, and intentionally spoiled his/her ballot to make a statement that s/he either:

1. Didn't like either of them, so refused to endorse either;

2. Liked some things about both of them and was making a statement that the parties should have nominated someone with qualities of each; or

3. Didn't care, and intentionally spoiled his/her ballot.

The proper result: Toss that spoiled ballot. Anything else is absolute fraud by the election judges. If non-ballots are counted, it negates all other voters' legitimate votes.

If I were Rossi and the Republicans, I'd fight that one.
