Let me see if I understand this correctly. You're quoting Jewel o the West as the ONLY expert on this subject? Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that is not everyone's opinion. There are lots of people from the Middle East! Jews, Christians, Muslims. They all have different opinions. So simply being from the region does not necessarily make your opinion THE valid one. As far as this comment: "For example: "Why do they resent our freedoms? " This whole concept is some kind of artificial, American flag-waving gobbledegook (not sure that is spelled correctly). No one resents us for our freedoms--in fact the consensus is growing around the world that U.S. citizens are losing their freedoms to some degree. The people in the Arab regions who resent us resent us for the hideous vulgarity of western culture that they are afraid is going to corrupt their values, our basic lack of respect for them, including racist comments, and our desire to inflict our ideas on them, in this case by force!
