Last week after a 7:30 a.m. final Ben asked me to take him to McDonald's, and even though it was 10:30, we asked if they would make him a hamburger and fries. The man on the other end of the microphone said, no problem, but we needed to drive around to the door and wait while they cooked the fries. When he brought out the bag, I was surprised to see that he was the manager, and he was Chinese! Not surprised for more than a split second, though. Who else would do that but a Chinese immigrant, full of hustle and drive?
