Have you considered making the "reset" user config ? Why must "reset" cause a reset at "0" ?

The cost of maintaining a "reset-to" field and checking to see if the desired reset number is other than zero is pretty substantial considering it would be extremely few people who would want to set it to a value other than zero.

If I wanted to reset a particular subject to, say, 20 unread messages, I'd click the Subject from my Subjectmarks page, click the 20th message down (just subtract 20 from the first message number shown), and hit the "Mark as Last Read" on that message.

That'll take you back to your SubjectMarks screen and that thread will show 20 unread posts.
