Don't need to ask no stinkin' divorce lawyer. I've been listening to one for four years. The first year it was so bad that I was denied any contact with my 3 year old daughter. After the third year as I was leaving the courtroom, I congratulated him on all his accomplishments but added (under my breath), 'ya sleazebag'. He chased me out of the court and began screaming at my attorney. (this was not my first episode of me making sarcastic b*stard comments at his expense, he finally cracked).... you may be familiar with my style. A few months later in court (final orders) he made me testify regarding my behavior toward him on the previous occassion. Like this: Him: Did you yell at me and call me names as you were leaving court? Me: No. Him: Huh? you are saying that you did not yell at me and call me names. Me: Yes, that is what I'm saying. Him: What did happen. Me: I congratulated you on getting all the continuances over the years etc. Him: uhhh what ever. Did you call me a name? Me: Yes. Him: So you are not abusive huh? Do you want to explain that to the court. Me: Sure. I accurately and truthfully disclosed to you my opinion regarding your conduct on this case and before this court. I did so in a personal and private manner so's not to embarrass you in front of your client or the court. Note: This guy's behavior has cost me a fortune in money and caused huge heart ache that will never be gone for me and my family. Not only was I falsely accused of dispicable stuff but so were my teenage daughters who are really cool and innocent of the things said of them, and did not deserve to be drug into this. OH btw ... I now have sole custody of my 7 year old daughter from this marriage. The evidence that I am not as accused, and that the ex is a dishonorable liar, hypocrite, and thief, needed to be overwhelming in order to tip the scales of justice in my favor.
