I didn't say definitively that Bush authorized 9/11.
Others did and I merely reported their opinions because parts of them appear plausible or even reasonable. Of course, the truth one way or the other will, hopefully, be revealed eventually. I posted them to elicit discussion and debate. But, unfortunately, all too often the respondents resorted to churlishness and to being snide or "smart-assy".
BTW, lots of folks like you thought that Bush had it right all along about Iraq and that folks who disagreed with him and his ardent admirers like you were utterly stupid, moronic and "loony" lefties and whatnot, and that after 2nd November 2004, American boys and girls would begin to return home in triumph from Iraq. However, it is now more than obvious your collective optimism was completely unjustified.
Sadly, this unjustified overoptimism about Iraq being a cinch or "a piece of cake" was sort of a repetition of same when "Rummy" declared in early December 2001 that American boys would be coming home for Christmas from Afghanistan and for good!
To be sure, those who ignore history are doomed to a repetition of it. (Oh well, "A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still." NOT?)
Despite the dire mistakes that "Rummy" made, Bush reappointed him as the Secretary of Defense and "Rummy" was brazen enough to accept! To be sure, Bush and "Rummy" deserve one another big-time! They are like two peas in a pod, eh? |
