Gosh, don't blame you for both being excited about the trip, and anxious about it as well. Driving in ice and snow can be tricky at best. We lived for a time in Buffalo, where it snows huge piles of snow at a time....I learned to drive in it, and think the advice the folks here gave you is good. The biggest piece of advice I can think of is keep your distance from the cars ahead of you. Whether the road has snow or ice, or is just plain wet...people tend to follow way too close I think...They sure do here on the freeway, that's for sure.

Have a good and safe trip, and do have a wonderful time with your family and all the animals...the donkeys sound like a hoot....oops, that's heehaw....

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!
