There might have been 100 reasons why your grandparents didn't want you up there..maybe it wasn't floored, maybe they were afraid you'd fall down the stairs, maybe there were mice or rats up there. If you tell a child they shouldn't do something, that is all the incentive they need to want to do it all that much more. As far as having animals, I'm afraid I'm very boring...we've always had dogs, my aunt had a cat, the meanest thing you've ever seen (the cat not my aunt), a hamster, a bird and that's about it.. You have a wonderful trip...and Merry Christmas!
