Sadly, the last time my team won the Super Bowl was 1985. They embarrass me. There is nothing professional about this team. And the whole city hasn't had a real sports winner for way too long. As for that song, if I can overlook my substantial biases, I think Green Bay is more than the embodiment of Vince Lombardi. The Packers, the players, the team and the fans; the location, the weather, and the food embody a Midwestern ethic, quality and pursuit of excellence based on hard work and solid attitudes that exist in no other team. Maybe Baltimore comes close, but they're a little short on history. I hope you guys kick butt today. I wish the game was outside. If a football team represented a community the way a government should, I would be proud to be a Packer constituent. Just don't tell anybody I said so!
