Great story. China is a real textbook example of competitive advantage, but I hope they don't put all their eggs in one basket. Datang could end up like mining towns all over the West - "one-factory towns". Chinese success will raise the living standards of the Chinese, which will inevitably raise the costs of Chinese products. Some day Datang won't be competitive, and with the Chinese pace, that day will be within a generation. I hope they have the foresight to build on their success and diversify so they can maintain their gains for the next generation.
