Merry Christmas, all ... that's the solstice done and gone, now the days get longer, slowly at first and then pretty soon it's ten in the evening and you're still in the garden ... i was north of 54 degrees some this year, it's amazing how much longer is the summer day there, barely five hours of dark ... this is the single most defining quality of this time for stock speculation, imho - light levels changing the mood, dropping descending down that dark dismal decline, then up up and away on the New year .... well, it's a theory ...
Meningitis - guy i knew had that once, almost died ... fine strong youngish man, west coast faller in the prime of life, it came out of nowhere and within hours he was rushed to Vancouver ... yes, the tests and/or treatments have considerable risk, they don't apply them lightly
We're pretty happy with the health system here, no real problems at all ... and we've had a fair bit to do with it lately - i never mentioned this online yet, but this year we managed to achieve reproduction, we've added one healthy happy little girl to the population of the province ... gives you a whole new outlook on life, one you can sort of see coming, but can't actually know until you experience it .... kind of amazing that still, even in this country, you're permitted to procreate without so much as an aptitude test and a revocable ticket |
