It's only through the magnification of publicity that they can hope to intimidate the vast majority of their countrymen

The reason the AP Editor came out with a statement is that he knows AP is in trouble with their "Al Jaareza" approach. They are giving the terrorists exactly what they need.

The way out of this is for Bush to pick a good example and make a major speech about the media's help to the terrorists. This is the way to rein them in.
