My mother bought gifts for the kitties, too. She spent the night with us last night, slept in Chris' bed and Chris in mine.
We stayed up until a completely ridiculous hour, almost 4 am, listening to music. Betty went to bed before we did, and came back in to tell us that Arthur, the regular sized orange lug (as opposed to William, the auxiliary sized orange lug), bit her on the hand while she was petting him.
I told her to rinse it with cold water, then with hydrogen peroxide, then put Betadine, then triple ointment, and she said she would, but didn't. Now it's swollen.
She had stockings for the kitties (even Arthur, the wretch!) and each got a couple of mice and a feather toy. The dog got a bone and some other things.
I hope she doesn't have too much difficulty with her hand, everybody in the family chipped in and got her a Dell computer, but decided to save $99 and go for the free ground shipping, so it won't come until January 6. I printed out a photo and wrote on it "Dude, you're getting a Dell!" because I know she liked the Dell guy. Actually they have some very nice deals if you order online, in addition to free shipping, you get 10% off and two CD burners. It would be ironic if she lost the use of her hand before her computer showed up.
I gave Ben an iTunes account, and gave me one, too. I have spent the last hour or two trying to access mine, and can't. Don't know whether I am screwing up somehow but think maybe they are just overloaded. |
