YAHOO has no way of controlling it’s posters or really any desire to do so as does SI so there lies the difference in the quality of information that you will receive on the two sites.

YAHOO is free and allows multi user IDs which invites spammers, porno penny pumpers and so forth.

SI has a paid membership base and SI enforces its TOU. The members here tend to be professional and courteous because they do not want to lose their paid membership. This is why SI draws mainly professional investors and adults without agendas for the most part.
