Which is exactly what I said. The voting machine prints a copy of your vote for you. It prints a copy for later verification. And it tabulates it internally.

And the code should be publicly available. Hacking problems can be eliminated if the computers aren't networked. If you can't get in, you can't screw with them.

And you're wrong about punch cards. They LONG predate anything that would be considered a computer.

I thought you said you knew something about this subject.

Oh well. Too much to hope for.
