I, like you love S. E. Asia, (SEA) and I feel sorry for the locals and for the Farangs and Bules who, like us, like to be with them when having free time to spend. Because they are fun, make good food and the girls are pretty and kind.

Last Xmas we spent in Hua Hin which way northern and is inside the Gulf of Thailand like Koh Samui. If we'd be in SEA we most likely would be on the coast since we like Xmas close to the sea. Luckly we were in the southern Atlantic.

But they will rebuild and we Farangs and Bules will go there once again, nature is tough in the edge of a tectonic plate, and there's nothing we can do about it.
