Pam,

Yes, two things were in short supply this year.

First, several models of the iPOD were totally sold out and available only on e-bay.

Second, SD cards were in short supply. Our local Circuit City sold out. Because
much of the OEM SD cards, I suspect, come from Toshiba or SNDK (due to the controller)
a drop in production from either source could be troublesome for consumers.

The smaller products such as mini-SD and Transflash are so small that one wonders
what the dimensions of an SD controller may be. Are the logic and flash portions still
produced separately for these products, then assembled? If not, at some point will the flash
and logic portions be produced simultaneously?
