Patrick: This is supposed to be the DHMG thread, not the "Calming Patrick" thread; nevertheless, I will do try to do just that, so you can think about DHMG and your other trading positions without having your mind clouded by negative emotions.

Let's talk about these insults that you feel I have flung at you. You say that I have called you "a drunk". Absolutely not true. What I said was that you appeared to have been drunk when you wrote a series of notes one evening. Here is a sample from one of them, #177:

"Risk is my middle name, dude. I own more stock than anyone you will ever know. My track record is.....guys like you lose me money. I may be wrong here, but the fact is....I got the money for the stock....... ....and you don't."

[Note: I omitted no words. The ....'s are quoted directly.]

This combination of overstatement and arrogant belligerence is typical of someone who is drunk. I ought to know - check my profile - I confess to being a wine drinker, almost always in moderation, but sometimes not. But to me there is a major difference between being drunk once in a while and being "a drunk." I can admit that on some occasion I was drunk and all I would be doing is stating a fact. I'm not insulting myself.

Furthermore, you will note that I used the word "appeared." You may have been totally sober when you wrote those notes, but it just didn't appear that way. If you tell me you were sober, I'll take your word for it. So please relax about what you thought I said, because I didn't really say that.

As to calling you a dupe and a shill: Suppose, for the sake of argument, that a company is cooking its books. (If you understood my last post, you either have to agree with me that DHMG is doing so, or you have to argue that the company operates in an alternative dimension of space and time where arithmetic rules are totally different). If a person supports a crooked company, knowing that it is fraudulent, then that person is a shill. If a person supports a crooked company, but is taken in by the fraud himself and doesn't realize that it is crooked, then he is a dupe.

Note: dupe is not the same thing as dope. Smart people are regularly taken in by professional con artists.

If DHMG is in fact an honest, non-fraudulent company, then you are neither a dupe nor a shill. So it comes back to DHMG. I think I have offered overwhelming proof of my position, not based on innuendo, but on DHMG's very own numbers.

If you can find any flaw whatsoever in my arguments about DHMG, I'd love to hear about them and, as I keep saying, will retract anything I said that is wrong.

If you can't find any flaws, then how you deal with the consequences of that conclusion is up to you. Given that Hagen is an old friend of yours, I will understand if you just stop posting.
