Carlin said it was Vicodin but who knows, he was a cocaine addict for years and claimed he quit by tapering off. He was pushing the envelope with his audience ala Andy Kaufman but mostly was just bluntly complaining that it was moronic to give money to Vegas Casinos and generally insulting his audience.

This seemed like a fair take on him..

I haven't seen his act for 10 years or so.
