Hey Terry, happy holidays to you and yours. -g

[Hope that notion didn't just cross his mind ...]

Well, surely it couldn't have originated there (ideas being rare in GWB's mobile hat rack .. you know, that bit above his neck), but as long as it's not on a teleprompter we should be okay.

I especially liked this one:

"The government’s investment in older people requires re-examination. To put it bluntly: does it make much sense to spend tremendous resources to extend the life of an elderly person a few years?"

Great solution to our woes. Anyone got an issue with that? Hmm .. all people are created equal, just some people are more equal than others. Survival of the fittest. If you're old and wealthy you can hang (around). If you're elderly and poor it is time to get the shot and then get dropped into the food processor. We'll give "retirement" a whole new meaning.

Oh well, there is always heaven - lol.

If these are the "alternatives" to our woes it is going to get quite interesting in the land of the credit card in the next few years. I'm more in the "confiscate all wealth" camp (say above $5 million) for the good of the country. Let's start in the Hamptons ...
