Hello,

i have selected a slightly different approach and looked at cash rich stocks which have sold off throughout the year, some bottomed in august, some in October. Many of them have seen
some short term selling too. I didn't care too much about the december, except that i tried to avoid those ones which spiked.

Here is a preliminary list. I bought about the half of the list today, and will buy the remainder over the remainder of the week.
It was a bit difficult as very few of the stocks saw intense selling in december, so there were little blue night specials.
Recently, I saw only 2, one was ADLR which rebounded, and the other was ABFI which traded very cheaply. I suspect, profits will be harder to come by, this year.

Low Price Stocks

Market Cap < 200MM
Price < 3
as far as possible below the 52w high

TSIC 0.25 in BK will be delisted probably to avoid
WHX also distressed, but possibly some value in a restructuring if not earlier
TORC - BK Rumors, one to avoid too
CLTK - cheap (cash ex distribution still 1.8x)

Pharmaceuticals and biotechs

NOVT - below Cash
PRCS - too, but some debt
HETC - weak, possibly an avoid
IBPI - buy at or below $4
XNVA - $1.30
MAXM - $2.76, below Cash
MEDC - a bit risky but cheap
NZYM - very cheap,

Companies with debt:
TSIC - 100M some of which will be paid off by the asset sale.
FLYI - Airliner, high liabilities
WHX - high BV, debt matures April 2005
GNSY - ADR, one to avoid, lots of debt
ATS - China related,
KNOL - interesting
TFS - below book

cheap semis:

ALSC
AXTI
CATS
CTLM
GGNS
NMGC
SMRA

Networking
ANCCD - just did reverse split, probably good for a bounce
APAT - wants to turn up
COSN below vash, big burner
CMTN - cheap one
CRDS - nearly at cash
INFO - below cash
INSW - Insweb - below cash
NENG
WRLS - Telular

Others:

YPNT - decent selling into late December, buy near $1
IBD - pretty cheap, probably at the low point (0.44)
VITX - only little cash, turnover

EIDSY - takeover is possible, one to keep, dirt-cheap gamemaker
WATFZ - dilutive rights offering
RANGY - Randgold, off 70%, looks like a good buy

ALSM - Alphasmart - profitable
CALD - Callidus IPO fallen angel could come back
TSYS - Telecomm Sys
