John,
No, the only time I might get into day trading is if a stock I own starts to move up fast. Most recently I did it with a US stock which I really like and had purchased around $4. It started to firm up on good volume so I put a sell order in at 5 1/8 and ended up selling it, I immediately turned around and put a buy order in at 4 5/8 and got a fill 3 days later...
Some times it works, sometimes it doesn't, however I find stocks dont go straight up for very long. I dont look for stocks to day trade, they find me.....
I would suggest you look at something line Noranda, Dofasco or Bell, something with good volumes...Scott
