Still don't disagree with you. Just think that what's being asked for here, which is barely more than an acknowledgement that ID exists and can be found in the school library while you go about your business teaching evolution, is a cheap price to pay to make this go away. I apppreciate the point about it not being science, but teachers refer students to related materials all the time. So the teacher also refers students to a biography of Darwin, a travelogue on the Galapagos, and Pandas. This can be a big deal or no big deal depending on how it's handled by the teacher.

Now if the school board fires all the science teachers whom they perceive as marginalizing ID and hires ministers to replace them, then that's another matter...
