Terry, the Red Cross does nice things but I can tell you that here in the US people were upset when they found out that the 9/11 victims fund was going to be used for other purposes as well. Donors had the impression that the funds were for 9/11 victims EXCLUSIVELY. This story dominated the media in the tri -state ( NY,NJ,CT) area. The public felt that their trust was betrayed and they were angry. When I see a news story about a family losing their home to fire the Red Cross always provides shelter for the families. I don't really have an issue with the Red Cross but they did not handle the 9/11 fund raising accountability well. Mike
