"To cover the cost of the tax changes, the plan would tax the value of an employee's health insurance benefit as if it were income."

What's next, you're house burns down and is replaced, and you have to pay tax on the $300k? Auto accident totals your car, tack on $30k to your income! Kid gets run over in the street, tack on $100k to your income! I had a kidney stone a couple years ago -- cost me about $500, and my income would go up $2400 as well for Uncle Sam. Ain't that grand!

Got robbed? Too bad, give Uncle Sam his share of the loot, too! Got robbed and shot? Fork over Uncle Sam's $10k share, now! Got robbed by Uncle Sam? Just go to jail! Will convicts have to pay taxes on the $30k prison benefit? Why, Charles Dickens would love it!
