kholt, Is all this argument really necessary? What different does it make? We are what we are now, and in the written history of mankind, there have been definite changes that can be called evolution, or adaptation to the environment in which they lived. That is documented proof that changes are taking place, but since there doesn't seem to be anything anyone can do about it, let's just go with the flow, and enjoy what we have.
Another scientific finding, is that the DNA of a chimpanzee is 98% the same as a human being. That makes them a pretty close relation to us, no matter what one wants to believe. Then there are the fossils of ancient humans, that indicate that we are quite different than our ancestors.
Even if one believes in evolution, that does not take God out of the picture. Even if one believes in the "big bang" theory of the beginning of the universe, something cannot come from nothing. A source of great power had to assemble the elements that were part of the mix that blew up, and the ignition source had to come from somewhere. The human race of planet Earth is centered too much on just this one planet. There are millions of suns, planets, and moons, scattered all over the universe, and terrans are a little pompous when they think they are the only ones in the universe, and that all of the attention of God, is centered on them. |
