Re: and so there is this incredible loss of life.

Incredible? Hardly. In living memory an earthquake in China killed over 250,000. tinyurl.com

And don't forget that on June 9-10, 1945 over 130,000 Japanese women, children and elders died at the hands of the USAF in Tokyo.

Upwards of 1,000,000 Iraqis, mostly children lost their lives during the 1990's sanction regime, and an additional 100,000 Iraqis have perished since their liberation.

Reuters is now reporting 68,000 fatalities from the Sumatra Earthquake Tsunami.

This will be the highest death toll ever for a tsunami event.

I predict that we will eventually reach about twice that total when all the reports are in from remote villages. A figure we will be able to verify in about 12 months.

Yet, the U.S. military remains one of the most potent means of eliminating population on the planet.
